Field Trip to Cook Park on June 14
We have been approved to take our annual walking field trip to Cook Park on June 14th. I do not have the specific times yet, but we typically leave around 10 and return by 1:30. We walk to Cook Park, play on the playground, and enjoy a pizza lunch before walking back. We will need volunteers in different capacities and I will list them below. However, you may NOT attend if you are unvaccinated or do not have an approved exception on file with the district (see below this paragraph for info about that) and have not filled out the background check. You can fill it out here (Background Check), so it is completed well ahead of time. The office will check prior to our field trip and if you have not filled it out, you may not come. You may submit your proof of vaccination here: Proof of Vaccination Form
TTSD IS NOW ACCEPTING EXCEPTIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS.ALL NON-VACCINATED VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE AN APPROVED EXCEPTION ON FILE WITH THE DISTRICT
ADDITIONALLY, volunteers with an exception on file will be required to:
- Wear a mask while on TTSD property OR;
- Be given a rapid test at the time and location of their volunteer assignment.
If you have a vaccination exception, please fill out the form that applies to you- Religious or Medical and submit to the following link- TTSD Volunteer Exception Documentation
Volunteers will be needed for the following:
- Donate items for the grade level- grapes
- Walking volunteers to join us as chaperones. Note: NO SIBLINGS MAY ATTEND DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS.
Let me know if you have any questions and are interested. We are so excited to resume our Cook Park Field Trip! I will send updates as the date gets closer.
As the weather begins to get warmer it’s helpful for students to keep a water bottle at their desks. This way there are fewer distractions with students getting up to get drinks, and students can take a drink at their leisure instead of having to wait until the end of a lesson. Please send your child with one when needed.
The best ways to reach me are by email at email@example.com . My classroom phone number is (503) 431-4541. My cell phone is 503-313-1925. I do not answer the phone or check email during class time, so if you have an immediate need or message for your child during school hours, please call the office at (503) 431-4500.
Have a fantastic week!
